Silver Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing is the calcium alginate dressing that added with silver compound through a special technology. It combines the alginate dressing features(high absorbency) and silver dressing features(anti bacterial), thus it is very suitable for wounds with heavy exudate.
Working Principles:
1. Ion exchange between Ca2+, Ag+ and Na+, Ca2+ for activating prothrombin to promote coagulation, while Ag+ for anti bacterial.
2. Gel is formed by Ion exchange, which will keep the wound in a moist environment and meanwhile promote the wound healing.
3. The fiber will lock the bacterial meanwhile Ag+ will kill the bacterial.
