Production Description

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy(NPWT) is a method of drawing out fluid and infection from a wound, and it helps the wound heal faster and with fewer infections. It is widely used in burn populations.

NPWT dressing kits are specified dressings and accessories used as an interface between the negative pressure wound therapy device and the patient’s wound. The negative pressure wound therapy device delivers negative pressure onto the wound bed through the drainage tube, which decompresses the foam in a continuous or intermittent manner. In this way wound fluid will be drained out to a canister.

NPWT PU Foam Dressing Kit consists of black PU foam, suction bell with drainage tube and transparent PU surgical film.

How to Use

1) Select the appropriate size of product, cut the foam dressing to fit the size and shape of wound, including the tunnels and undermined, and placed gently into position.

2) Trim the PU surgical film to cover the foam dressing, plus 3-5cm border of intact skin or cut the surgical film in strips in this direction or use the ready for use strips. Avoid stretching the surgical film and placing onto skin under tension.

3) Lift the surgical film with your thumb and forefinger and cut a 1-2cm round hole in it that is large enough to allow fluid to pass through the dressing. It is not necessary to cut a hole in the foam .

4) Connect the drainage tube to a canister with negative pressure source and adjust the value applied onto the wound. The treatment may be continued until closure is obtained.

NPWT dressing can be used to treat full- and partial thickness acute and chronic Wounds, Including

1) Pressure ulcers, diabetic foot and venous leg ulcers

2) Surgical wounds

3) Skin flaps and grafts,

4) Explored fistulae

5) Partial-thickness burns

6) Large cavity wounds with high exudate levels
